Chester Springs Library, at Historic Yellow Springs, is one of the smallest member libraries in the Chester County Library System? We serve West Pikeland Township as well as the more than 500,000 library users in Chester County.
As a member library, Chester Springs Library has its own Board of Trustees. Two very important roles of the Chester Springs Library Board of Trustees are securing adequate funding and letting the community know what the library has to offer.
Did you know?
Chester Springs Library provides completely free programs and services for children, teens, families, and adults? In fact, so far this year there have been more than 350 programs, of which 87 were STEM related. Not to mention there are over a million resources to borrow. Here is a sample:
Story times, play dough mornings, MakinMusic, and process art classes for preschoolers.
Book Club, Crochet/Knitting group, Shakespeare discussions, and craft classes for adults.
Access to E-books, E-audiobooks, E-magazines, and free movie streaming with Kanopy.
Summer Reading for all ages; with family entertainment, special events, and prizes.
GSK Science in the Summer programs for students in first through sixth grades.
Did you know?
Each month, Chester Springs Library hosts State Representative Kristine Howard's satellite office to assist you with state-related matters and offer seniors free Septa Keycards.
Chester Springs Library has a seed library that offers gardeners free seeds to borrow, grow, and return saved seeds from their harvest to keep the seed library sustainable; and no library card is required.
Chester Springs Library is well known for its fabulous customer service, welcoming atmosphere, and scenic location.
