A Day at The Mill at Anselma

This past Saturday was Demonstration Day at The Mill at Anselma. The weather was perfect and lots of families took advantage of the beautiful Fall day. The Chester Springs Library had a table there filled with library information including some new programs we are starting this Fall. Miss Ariel brought her bubble blower and hula hoops for a fun treat for the kids. She also had two simple crafts for the children to make when they stopped by. The pumpkin wands and lollipop ghosts were a huge hit.

The demonstrations tours showcased the mill operation including milling the grain into flour. The Miller talked about how the grist mill works and showed the various parts including the impressive gears that are at the heart of the mill. These tours are great for families because they are very flexible. Stop by any demonstration at your leisure. While you're there make sure you visit the trails that are throughout the property. Each trail is family friendly and a great way to take a break in nature. Demonstration Day is the second Saturday of the month and will run through December. We hope to see you there on Saturday, November 13th!
