As you probably know, we are currently closed due to roof damage caused by a fallen tree. Thankfully it happened before the library opened on Monday, February 17. Even though the building is closed, please know the staff is working to make sure you can still get books and enjoy some of the programs.
Â
While you cannot borrow our books, you may request books as usual. They will come from other libraries and your holds will be taken to the Henrietta Hankin Branch Library. When you are notified for pickup, please go to Henrietta Hankin for your library material. You do not need to change your pickup preference unless you want to pickup your holds at another library. Also, at this time we are asking that you return your books to any other Chester County Library.
Â
The Chester County Library System has been very helpful in making sure inconveniences and barriers will be kept to a minimum. And Henrietta Hankin has generously given us space to set up laptops so we can get your holds ready for pickup, and work on finding spaces in the community to have as many of our programs as possible.Â
Â
Thank you all, for your kind thoughts and well wishes as we begin the repair journey back to full service. Keep an eye on our Facebook page, Instagram, e-calendar, and website for updates and program information, and so you can follow the progress.Â
Â
Sincerely,Â
Nancy Niggel, Director
